Swarm is a buzz word in autonomous vehicles

According to Audi, the car of the future will use swarm data. This data will help to communicate constantly with other cars, road signs and traffic control systems, as well as smart connected devices around them – smart phones, tablets and Wi-Fi networks. These cars will be location-aware, able to communicate to gather information about road conditions, traffic, weather and other parameters that can affect driving. It will also communicate with oncoming traffic to discern potential hazards like compromised road conditions, traffic jams or obstructions. The swarm data will be used to inform the driver or to take action to avoid.

Obviously the term swarm is used for all this data due to the congested frequency of data similar to a hive of bees travelling.
